Foundation's Action: Making Positive Impact!

Empowering Dreams: Breaking the Cycle of Poverty, Unlocking Children's Potential for a Brighter Future

The objective of our charitable foundation, the CIO, is to develop a sustainable model that supports children living in poverty in Tabora, Tanzania. Our aim is to address the various challenges associated with poverty, such as inadequate nutrition, healthcare, and hygiene.

Through our foundation, we will work towards providing these children with access to nutritious meals, quality healthcare, and proper sanitation facilities. By addressing these basic needs, we hope to improve their overall well-being and create a solid foundation for their future.

In addition to tackling immediate needs, our foundation also aims to support these children through their education and provide them with opportunities to thrive. We believe that education is a powerful tool that can break the cycle of poverty and empower individuals to reach their full potential.

Founding Trustee Sarah Anderson's Mission: Empowering Vulnerable Children for a Brighter Future!

I went to Tanzania in 2007 to work for a local NGO called HAPO which provided support to orphaned and vulnerable children.

At this time, two thirds of people infected with HIV lived in Africa and the AIDS epidemic had ravished local villages with almost an entire generation dead.

All the children I worked with had heartbreaking stories of loss and struggle, but they also had incredible resilience and determination to create a better future for themselves.

During my time in Tanzania, I helped establish educational programs, provided counseling and emotional support, and worked on fundraising initiatives to ensure the sustainability of the organization.

Seeing the impact our work had on the lives of these children was both humbling and inspiring. It reinforced my belief in the power of collective action and the importance of supporting vulnerable communities.

During my work experience in Tanzania in 2007, I had the opportunity to contribute to the aims of the charitable foundation by working for a local NGO called HAPO. This organization focused on providing support to orphaned and vulnerable children in a country where two-thirds of people infected with HIV resided.

At that time, Africa was severely affected by the AIDS epidemic, which had devastated local villages, leaving almost an entire generation deceased. My role within HAPO involved working directly with these children, offering them emotional support, education, and access to basic necessities.

By being part of this initiative, I witnessed firsthand the positive impact that such support can have on the lives of these children. Through education and guidance, we aimed to break the cycle of poverty and provide them with a brighter future.
